Finnish Language Classes at Saima Park

The spring session of Finnish language classes is set to begin on Monday, March 31, at the Finnish Center at Saima Park, located at 67 Scott Rd, in Fitchburg, MA. The course will run for 10 Mondays, ending on June 9. No class will be held on Memorial Day, May 26.

Saija Laurla, a native of Finland, will teach all classes. An enthusiastic teacher, Saija makes her classes fun. In addition to teaching the language, she talks about the Finnish culture.

Three levels of classes will be offered, with advanced students meeting from 3:00 to 5:00pm (includes 4:30-5:00 coffee); new beginners 4:30-6:30pm (includes 4:30-5:00 coffee); and advanced beginners 6:30-8:15pm (includes 6:30-6:45 coffee). Tuition for the 10-session course is $75 for members of the Finnish Center at Saima Park, and $80 for others. Children under the age of 18 years pay half tuition. Annual memberships to FCSP are $30, and all are welcome to join. Applications can be downloaded from https//www.saima-park.org.
